I read the manga and the amount they skip in the anime is re is the original story. I just got finished with tokyo ghoul a and i was gonna watch re but then this whole new mc is introduced (minor spoiler) and it turns out they used kaneki to make him and honestly i really don't want to watch this whole other main character fighting a terrorist organization if it's not the kaneki i grew to love. I think the first 2 seasons were perfect as they are and plus the first episode was really mediocre and boring. Also is there a different ending in the manga? level 1 Read the manga. Root A is anime original, and:re picks up from the equivalent point in the manga, so it will be extremely confusing. :re is also poorly animated and incredibly rushed; they tried adapting like 180 chapters in 24 episodes. You honestly have to read both manga to get the full story. level 1 3 points · 2 days ago S2 isn't canon, and 3-4 adapt the sequel manga, which assumes you know stuff S2 should've covered but didn't. Read the manga (at least from where S1 leaves off) level 2 I think ima just read the manga and not even bother of season 3 and 4 level 1 Manga is better than the anime.
It's such a shame level 1 S1 amazing, S2 a decent continuation, s3 not so good till the end when all is made right. level 2 LOL yea Tokyo ghoul re season 1 was complete trash, idk I didn't like it.
