Stiff acting, but they may mellow out in future episodes; a crap move he pulled on his daughter which made me like his character even less; I see a duo build up between he and the lady cop but there's no chemistry between the two. She's cute and all but a dud, too forward and eager to get him in the sack. The animosity between he and colleagues/ peers is too forced.... ease up a bit. The big of comic relief is a fail and as clever as we're to think he is, why does he touch everything sans gloves; he did drop the snips in the river bare handed. He's always snooping around with doors wide open, that's far from being smart. Really annoying. On a positive note he's a handsome man that needs a bit of a wash, shave and change of gear, PLEASE lose that horrid curl on his forehead. It's distracting me. The weekly plots are interesting. Some other reviewer seems to think it's better than American dramas... not quite this one. It surely isn't as good as other international or British detective serials.

En estos días donde nos acostumbramos a ser decepcionados por el género de terror con películas malas sin inspiración, que copian las mismas fórmulas argumentales de siempre, Un lugar en silencio al menos consigue atrapar con creatividad la atención del espectador durante toda su duración. Son 90 minutos donde no sobra una escena y el nivel de tensión es por momentos desesperante. Cabe destacar que esta película fue un proyecto de John Kransinski que financió Michael Bay con su compañía productora Platinun Dunes. El director de la infumable saga Transformers cada tanto se ilumina y produce películas de calidad como esta o 13 horas que fue una buena propuesta dentro de su género. Recomiendo que no dejen pasar Un lugar en silencio en los cines porque está destinada a sobresalir entre las mejores producciones de este año.
